OWENSBORO, Ky. — Mable Adeline Gambler Johnson, 96, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born Aug. 18, 1921, in Blue Island, Illinois, to the late Jesiah Gambler and Maude Cornell Gambler.

Mrs. Johnson retired from the furniture industry in Bryan, Ohio.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Johnson; three sons, Richard, Larry, and Gene Johnson; two infant sons; one daughter, Linda Adkins; four grandchildren, Danny, Scott, Tony, and Rocky; and one great-granddaughter, Abbigail Trent.

Survivors include one daughter, Debbie (Clem) Trent, of Fordsville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Angela Trent, Josh Trent, Darrell Johnson, Denise Easterday, Jennifer Maurido, Joe Gaume, and Cheryl Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Rev. Ron H. Phillips officiating. Friends may visit with Mrs. Johnson’s family from 2 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
