BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Gwendolyn Deweese Beck, 97, of Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was born in Ohio County, Kentucky. on June 8, 1920, to the late Olen and Evalyn Warren Deweese.

Mrs. Beck was a member of Auburn Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking for her family and making Christmas candy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oran Beck and brother Wilmuth Deweese.

Mrs. Beck is survived by her children, Eddie Beck and wife, Glenda, of Bowling Green, Jerry Beck and fiancée Debbie Atwell, of Hawesville, Kentucky, Karen Moore and husband, David, of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren, Steve Beck and wife, Cheryl, Nicky Corder and husband, Keith, Jason Beck, Laura Tarrence and husband, Michael, Jessica Crowell and husband, Andrew, Samantha Mayes and husband, Brian, Stefani Hudson and husband, Alex; several great grandchildren; sister Jonel Appling, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. with Ross Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Warrens Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov.21, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
