HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Ledford West, 57, of Horse Branch, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born May 13, 1960, in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Harold and Morna West.
Mr. West had worked for Peabody Coal Company and was also a truck driver. He was a member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ.
Led lived life to the fullest and could fill any room with laughter within minutes of entering. He loved his children and his three grandsons with all his heart, and would do anything for them or anyone else who needed him.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russ West and Harold West Jr., and one infant sister.
Survivors include two children, Amanda (Josh) Wright, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Everett West, of Horse Branch; three sister, Ruth Ann (Terry) Moore, of Beaver Dam, June (Don) Marshall, of Central City, Kentucky, and Joan McAdams, of Beaver Dam; brothers, Mike (Mary) West, of Ferndale, Michigan, Claude (Betty) West, of Beaver Dam, and Darrell (Joyce) West, of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three grandsons, Everett West Jr., Gabe West, and Jaxton Wright; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. George Darnell officiating. Friends may visit with Ledford’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen after the funeral service per Ledford’s wishes.
