HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is warning Ohio County residents of a new phone scam just hitting the area.
According to the OCSO, the Sheriff’s Office has been notified about a phone scam in which a woman, identifying herself as “Julie,” has called Ohio County residents trying to sell security alarm systems. The number “Julie” calls from appears to be various 270-256-**** numbers.
This is a scam. Don not give out any personal information to this person. If you are called by this scammer, hang up the phone immediately.
