
Chaunta grew up in Utah, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, and Kentucky. She was a graduate of Ohio County High School, she had a deep faith in God and Jesus Christ as
Saviour, a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and a member of Chi Epsilon Sigma.
Chaunta loved quilting and reading but her family and her grandchildren were her world and she had HOPE ALWAYS.
Chaunta worked as a deputy sheriff, Title I instructor at Wayland Elementary, and was a secretary at the Extension Office in Hartford, Kentucky.
Survivors include her husband, David A. Himes; daughter, Amber (Scott) Chinn; son, Joseph (Becky) Himes; grandchildren, Dalton, Kyle, Tyler, Gracie, and
Emily; brothers, Michael J. Gamble, Dave A. Gamble, Charles E. Gamble, David J. Knapp, and Wyatte J. Gamble; sisters, Valarie J. Ferguson, Maureen J. Westerfield, and Dorothy L. Lamar.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home with Blaine Pieper and Jim Wyles officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
