HARDINSBURG, Ky. — Margie Deloris Stilwell, 80 of Hardinsburg, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at University Hospital. She was born in Fordsville, Kentucky, on April 20, 1937, the daughter of the late Edgar and Alta Peercy.
Deloris was a member of Hardinsburg Baptist Church and retired from the Breckinridge County Board of Education after many years serving children in the cafeteria.
She had several interests that included baking, gardening, reading her bible, watching Hallmark movies, QVC, baseball and the Kentucky Wildcats. Family was very important and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Allen Stilwell, in 1999.
Deloris is survived by three children, David Stilwell (Cindy), of Utica, Kentucky, Cathy Dukes (Doyle), of Owensboro, Kentucky, Cindy Wedding (Jeff), of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Taylor Wedding, and Ethan and Jason Stilwell; four sisters, Vena Welch and Christine Meador, of Louisville, Kentucky, Ruby Russell, of Sebree, Kentucky, and Shirley Rudisell, of Maceo, Kentucky; five brothers, James, Roger, Kenny, and Randall Peercy, of Owensboro, and Curtis Peercy, of Florida.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Ivy Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday after 8:30 a.m.
