CENTRAL CITY, Ky. — Joan Ellen Vincent, 52, of Central City, born Feb. 9, 1965, stepped beyond the veil into the arms of our Lord Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at the home of her sister, Linda Arnold.

As Joan entered into eternity she was greeted by her parents, Melvin and Ruby “Jean” Vincent, many aunts and uncles, and her great-nephew, Kegan Arnold.

Joan was a unique person and she definitely never met a stranger. She enjoyed knitting her tiny bird houses and gifting them away. She showed concern and love of every person she came in contact with. The amazing stories that were shared with us from all the visitors blessed us. The calls and texts she received were deeply appreciated. Each of you showed great love for Joan.

Joan loved the Lord and His love was shown many times through her life, but especially during the cancer treatments.

She was a member of Duvall’s Chapel Baptist Church. Joan left behind a strong legacy of living life no matter disabilities.

Those who now await their reunion with Joan are her sisters, Linda (Dwight) Arnold and Becky (Steve) Smith; her brothers, Tim Vincent and Bill Vincent (Steve Schultz); nieces, Amy Arnold and Robin Arnold Gilliland; nephews, David Jones, Eric (Trish) Almy, Shane (Leesha) Vincent, and Chase Vincent; great-nieces and -nephews, Stephen Jones, Kylie, and Kaden Gilliland, and Knox and Baby Bo Vincent; the remaining Vincent clan; and many friends such as Kim Curry.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Greg Brooks officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
