HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Joyce E. Geary, 87, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at Ohio County Hospital. She was born in Evansville, Indiana, on Jan. 27, 1930, daughter of the late Herbert and Helen Mitchell.
Joyce was a homemaker, member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Rosine Methodist Church.
She had worked with Bro. Geary for years in the Methodist ministry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Story Geary; son, Ron Geary; and grandsons, Calip Casteel and Justin Casteel.
Survivors include her son, Steve (Jeannie) Geary; daughters, Drucilla Spangler and Cindy (Herman) Casteel; daughter-in-law, Sandy Geary; grandchildren, Ronda (Kelly) Rhodes, Ron Geary II, Brent (Chelsea) Geary, Chastity Woolen, Bunt (Britany) Geary, Kori Geary, Amanda (Steve) Woods, Jamie Castorena, Jimmy (Tosha) Blacklock; great-grandchildren, Logan Rhodes, Elliott Geary, Dylan Geary, Gavin Geary, Jordan Woolen, Bentlee Geary, Elizabeth Hayse, Matthew Castorena, Ethan Castorena, Haylee Blacklock, Lee Ann Blacklock, and James Blacklock.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Rosine Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
