OWENSBORO, Ky. — William Kenneth “Ken” Crowe, 78, of Owensboro, died Oct. 3, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1939, in Daviess County, Kentucky, to the late William Clarence and Norma Pearl Crowe.
He retired after 32 years with the U.S. Postal Service, having served as Postmaster for Centertown, Kentucky, for the last 10 years of his employment.
He was a former member of Hall Street Baptist Church and currently a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. He served in the Army Reserves for 21 years.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Brenda Crowe.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Helen Ann Crowe; daughters, Angela Gayle Farrell (Hugh), of North Carolina, and Carol S. Maupin, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kristin A. Farrell, Seth W. Farrell, Lauren Maupin, Kevin Maupin, and Shelby Maupin; a brother, Harold Crowe (Beverly), of Philpot, Kentucky; and a sister, Judith Ann Hunt (Glen), of Philpot.
Services are 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial with military honors is in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
