BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Eugene “Buddy” Lunsford Jr., 78, of Beaver Dam, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born June 29, 1939 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, to the late Eugene Lunsford Sr. and Helen Bowen Goddard.
Eugene was a member of Horse Branch Church of God and worked as a brick mason.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda King Lunsford; one daughter, Anna Nunn; and three brothers, Leroy, Jimmy, and Billy Lunsford.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory are four children, Jesse (Judy) Lunsford, of Beaver Dam, Tony Lunsford, of Beaver Dam, Rhonda (O’Connell) Tarrance, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, and Ruby Phelps (Kenneth Mason), of Horse Branch; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Tommy, and Kenny Lunsford; and eight sisters, Wilma Jean, Betty Sue, Darlene, Mildred, Corinne, Kathy, Dottie and Louise.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Earnest Whitely officiating. Burial will follow in Lunsford Family Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
