WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Patricia Joyce “Pat” Adkins, 64, of Winston-Salem, formerly of Hartford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born March 21, 1953, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to the late Kermit Daniel and Naomi Petty.
She was a retired former Director of Manage Care Contracting for Wake Forest Medical Center and she was a member of Hartford Baptist Church. Patricia enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, David Norman Adkins, of Winston-Salem; her mother, Naomi Petty, of Hartford, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She is also survived by four cats, Boo Boo, Abby, Sherlock, and Watson.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, with Rev. Jason Bratcher officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family of Patricia Joyce Adkins from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
