BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Joey Lee Hicks, 53, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, entered into rest Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. He was born Jan. 20, 1964, to Willis and Tempy Autry Hicks.
He was of Baptist Faith and he retired from driving a recovery wrecker. Joey enjoyed junking cars, fishing, and camping.
Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Tempy Autry Hicks; three brothers, Willis Joe Hicks, Glendon Leo Hicks, Donnie Franklin Hicks; and one niece, Brandy Bradley Smith.
Survivors include his father, Willis Hicks, of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky; three sisters, Brenda (Terry) Bradley, of Beaver Dam, Mary (Pete) Hensley, of Lebanon Junction, and Judy (Ronnie) Gibbs, of Louisville. Several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews also survive along with many friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, with Bro. David Clark officiating. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery near Olaton. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time service Tuesday at the funeral home.
