MONROE, N.C. – Vacova Mae Fulton Berryhill, 65, of Monroe, went to be with the Lord Aug. 12, 2017, while surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 27, 1951, in Rockport, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Gene Fulton, and her sister, Vanessa Robinson.
She is survived by her mother, Wilma Garrett Fulton, of Monroe; her husband, Fred Berryhill, of Monroe; daughter, Lisa Wilshire, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; and sons, John Fulton, of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Daniel Berryhill, of Monroe. She is also survived by her sister, Mata Tassic, of Illinois; brothers, Glen Fulton, of Wisconsin, Billy Fulton, of Michigan, Howard Fulton, of Illinois, and Robert Fulton, of Wisconson; grandchildren, Matthew, James, and Jacob Sloyan, Jasmine Sturtz, and Tyler Krueger; three stepchildren; and several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
