***UPDATE*** (8/11/17 – 1:05 p.m.) TAMPA, Fla. — Authorities have captured a man wanted in connection to a shooting in last weekend in Ohio County.

Harry Musgrave was located in the Tampa area by the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force earlier this morning.

Musgrave was involved in a shooting in the Fordsville area, Sunday August 8, 2017. He fled the area after the incident, but is now in custody.

Musgrave is being held in a detention center in the Tampa area.


FORDSVILLE, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Fordsville and is asking the public for help in locating the suspect.

According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, late last night, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Railroad Bed Road in Fordsville about a man lying on the side of the road with a gunshot wound.

After arriving at the scene, deputies found Travis Rippy with a gunshot wound. First aid was conducted with the help of a constable in the Fordsville community.

According to Rippy, he was sleeping, when Harry Musgrave woke him up and told him they were going to Fordsville. Rippy said Musgrave and another unknown man brought him to Railroad Bed Road, turned off all the lights in the vehicle, produced two handguns and told Rippy to get out of the vehicle. After Rippy got out of the vehicle, he was shot in the left thigh by Musgrave’s handgun.

When deputies found Rippy, there was an orange and purple duffel bag near him. After receiving consent to search the bag, deputies found two pipes containing suspected methamphetamine residue was found.

Rippy was transported by Ohio County EMS to another location where he was eventually life flighted to the Deaconess Trauma Unit in Evansville, Indiana.

Harry Musgrave, of Hancock County, was last seen driving a newer model Jeep Liberty, red, with a license plate reading 325WTH.

Musgrave is considered to be armed and dangerous.

This case is ongoing as charges are pending.
