BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Betty Ruth Stevens, 76, of Beaver Dam, died Friday, July 21, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late James and Maxine Strunk Gross and she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Faye; brothers, Elonzo and Jimmy; sisters-in-law, Sandy Gross and Joann Gross; and grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Stevens and James Eric Stevens Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Elmer Stevens; sons, Elmer (Debbie) Stevens Jr., James Eric (Sandy) Stevens, Timothy Norman (Tammy) Stevens, Leslie Gene (Susie) Stevens; daughters, Connie Frances (Kelvin)Brock, Lisa Jane Black(Dale), Lora Ann Bailey; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Bill, Frank, Mike and Edmond Gross; sister, Debra Ann (Don) Smith; and close family friend, Donna Caldwell.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Donald Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Sunday at the funeral home.
