MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Nola Bishop Stewart, 82, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center, Morgantown. She was born in Butler County, Kentucky, on April 3, 1933, to the late Noah Delmer and Ardie Lacefield Willoughby.
She was a charter member of the Beaver Dam Bible Baptist Church. Nola retired from Morgantown Bank & Trust after 29 years. She loved reading and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Bishop; stepsons, Jeremiah Stewart and Larry Stewart Jr.; brother, N.D. Willoughby; half-brothers, Arlos and Prather Willoughby; sister, Cordie Mae Willoughby; and half-sister, Ortense Hunt.
Nola is survived by her husband, Larry Stewart, of Morgantown; four stepchildren, Tonya Everett (William), of Russellville, Kentucky, David Dewayne Stewart, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Rodney Stewart, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Johnnie Stewart (Laura), of Fordsville, Kentucky; 11 stepgrandchildren, and six stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Willoughby (Linda), of Louisville, Kentucky, Mack Willoughby (Louise), of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; one sister, Ruby Jewell Embry, of Owensboro; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, July 15, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Cleatus Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown.
