HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Agnes R. Phelps, 73, of Horse Branch, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on April 4, 1944, in Mt. Pleasant, Ky., to the late David Hayse and Janie Pharris Hayse McCoy.
Mrs. Phelps was employed for many years as a machine operator at Cowdens, and as a housekeeper at Professional Care Health and Rehab Center. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cromwell.
Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Euclid Zelmer Phelps, Sr.; one son, Euclid “Fud” Phelps, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Hayse, of Horse Branch, and Timmy (Anita) Phelps, of Franklin, Ky.; one daughter, Tina McGaha, of Bradstown, Ky.; two grandchildren, Kayla Phelps and Levi Ray Wilson; and one sister, Nita Newman, of Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Ky., with Bro. Nicholas Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow in Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Ky. Friends may visit with Mrs. Phelps’s family from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
