PHILPOT, Ky. — Peggy Joyce Sublett, 75, of Philpot, passed away June 18, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1941, to the late James Wilsie and Winona Hamilton Sublett.
Peggy was diagnosed with polio in the 5th grade. She was a strong Christian woman and a member of Providence United Methodist Church. There, she found enjoyment in playing the piano for many years.
Peggy was a teacher at Fordsville Elementary School where she retired after 37 years. She was an inspiration to everyone.
Peggy is preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Sublett.
She is survived by many cousins, friends; goddaughter, Kristy Westerfield; and caregiver, Katherine Newton.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. John Coomer officiating. Burial will follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
