CENTRAL CITY, Ky. — Bonnie Mae Sailing, 73, of Central City, went peacefully to her heavenly home on May 5, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. Bonnie was born on Dec. 10, 1943, in Hopkins County, Ky., to Waverly and Avanell Groves.
She was a member Bards Hill General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gilbert Sailing; her parents, Waverly and Avanell Groves; brother, Lloyd Groves; sister, Barbara Mitchell; and stepson, Tommy Sailing.
Survivors include five sons, John (Georgina) Sailing, Robert (Eva) Sailing, Charles (Shelia) Jennings, J.J. Sailing, and Donald (Michelle) Sailing Jr.; two daughters, Laura (Marshall) Cissna, and Polly (Jay) Hile; sister, Frankie (J.T.) Williams; brother, Terry (Connie) Groves; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 8, at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Terry Groves officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery in Echols, Ky. Visitation will be Sunday after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
