ROME, Ga. — Dennis Rowell “Dinky” Manning, 64 of Rome, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017, under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. He was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Rome, to the late Charles and Francis Miller Manning.
Mr. Manning was a self-employed brick mason.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne Manning, LeRoy Webb, Lewis Webb, and Billy Webb, and one sister, Charlene Manning Wright.
Survivors include one son, Dennis (Belinda) Manning, of Centertown, Ky.; one daughter, Sandra Manning, of Beaver Dam, Ky.; and one sister, Becky (John) Hollingsworth, of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Mr. Manning was blessed with five grandchildren, Allie, Tripp, Josh, Caleb, and Aiden Manning; Paw Paw, and Hollis Chapman; one aunt, Mary Manning; and lifetime friend, Vickie Manning. He is also survived by his companion of 16 years, Marie Dorsey.
Funeral services and Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home at 2750 Shorter Ave NW, Rome, GA 30165.
