NARROWS, Ky. — William Edward Shultz, 90, of Narrows, died on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born in the Narrows Community to the late Collis and Floy Westerfield Shultz.
Mr. Shultz served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was a member of Dundee United Methodist Church, Hartford Masonic Lodge #675 F&AM, had worked at G.E. in Owensboro, Logan Aluminum, NSA, Rough River State Park and Walmart in Owensboro.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Shultz.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Jean Muffett Shultz; three sons, William Benton Shultz, James David (Ami) Shultz and Robert Joe Shultz; a daughter, Nakaiah Lynn Shultz (John) Higdon; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Clyde Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Ky. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Wednesday. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m on Tuesday at the funeral home and military honors will be presented by Ohio County Honor Guard.
