McHENRY, Ky. — Geraldine Southard, 76, of McHenry, went to be with Lord on April 2, 2017. She was born July 6, 1940, to the late Ira and Corene Phelps Camp.
Gearldine was a homemaker and a member of Echols Daystar Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Elbert “Labo” Southard; two sisters, Ethel Moore and Anna Margret Leach; and one brother, Ira Glen Camp.
She is survived by two daughters, Vanessa (Jimmy) Dukes, of McHenry, and Veronica (Steve) Schroader, of McHenry; two sons, Eric Southard, of McHenry, and Aaron Southard, of McHenry; four grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Davis, of McHenry, Joshua (Sarah) Schroader, of Rosine, Ky., Corben Southard, of McHenry, and Erika Southard, of Beaver Dam, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Cole Davis and Reagan Schroader; one sister-in-law, Margie Camp, of McHenry, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Bro. Earl Sonny James and Sis. Betty Shaver officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit with Geraldine’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
