BEDA, Ky. — Glenda Maretta Peters, 78, departed this life on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was born on April 19, 1938, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Irvin Smith and Ruby Gladys Dockery Bishop.
Glenda was a member of The Church of God in Beda and was a homemaker. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Berchel Allen Bishop.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 62 years, Hollis Deen Peters; five children, Ramona Lou (Charles) Lindsey, of Tulsa, Okla., Ricky W. (Trudy) Peters, of Kevil, Ky., Randy LeDon (Cathy) Peters, of Henderson, Ky., Rometta Elaine (Alton) Addington, of Hartford, Ky., and Royce Dee (Heather) Peters, of Las Vegas, Nev.; her daughter-in-law, Carla D. Peters, of Henderson; and two sisters, June Moseley, of Evansville, Ind., and Karen “Kay” (Lenus) Moore, of McHenry, Ky. Glenda was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Scott Hatton officiating. Burial will follow in Central Grove Cemetery near Centertown. Friends may visit with Mrs. Peters’ family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
