Ida Mae Miller, 86, of Hartford, Ky., departed this life on Feb. 17, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on Sept. 12, 1930, in Caneyville, Ky., to the late Neal Campbell and Edna B. Cummings Campbell Pharris.
Ms. Ida was a homemaker and member of Pine Knob United Baptist Church in Grayson County, Ky. She also was an avid doll and fenton glassware collector, loved redbirds, loved to garden and quilting.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Miller; one sister, Mary Ellen Lee; and three brothers, David Campbell, Hugh Campbell, and Charles Campbell.
Survivors include one son, Carl (Lisa) Miller, of Hartford; and two daughters, Patricia (Edward) Heflin, of Beaver Dam, Ky., and Martha (Kevin) Mauzy, of Galesburg, Mich. Ms. Ida was blessed with seven grandchildren, Adam Heflin, Sara Bila, Daniel Heflin, Angela Mae Miller, Cynthia Ann Knight, Brian Samuel Mauzy, and Leslie Jo Mauzy; and 13 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and an host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, with Dr. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family of Ida Mae Miller from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
