Charles Robert Tyson, 89, of Madisonville, Ky., passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Hillside Villa in Madisonville. Mr. Tyson was born Sept. 10, 1926, in Hopkins County, Ky., to the late James Tyson and Anna Mae Kellog Tyson.
Mr. Tyson was of the Baptist faith and retired from Peabody Coal Co. Camp #1 Mine in Morganfield after 28 years. He also enjoyed dancing.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Steve Tyson; one step-son, David; and one sister.
He is survived by one son, Roger (Debbie) Tyson, of Madisonville; one step-son, Gary Hendrix, of Madisonville; one step-daughter, Katona (Dale) Fuller, of Madisonville and one brother, William Tyson of Madisonville.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Dr. Don Davis officiating. Burial will follow after the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
