Wilma L. Casteel Myers, 70, of Hartford, Ky., passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2015. She was born July 5, 1945, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Archie D. and Prudie Lee Browning Casteel.
Ms. Myers retired as a bookkeeper for J&L Lumber Company and was a member of Washington United Methodist Church. She loved her family and grandkids.
Ms. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Maurice Casteel, Harold Casteel, Lawrence Casteel and one nephew, Justin Lee Casteel.
Survivors include one son, Greg Myers of Hartford; five grandchildren, Jessica Brianne (Patrick) Faulkner, Larrisa Lee Myers, Kaitlynn Nicole Myers, Samantha Faith Leach and Kaden Joseph Henderson; one brother, Herman Lee (Cindy) Casteel, of Hartford; one sister, Mildred (Jerry) Smith of Hartford; one sister at heart for over 60 years, Wilda Puckett, of Hartford, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Bro. Rodney Albin and Bro. Mike Burden officiating. Burial will follow in Patterson Cemetery in Hartford, Ky. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Sunday at the funeral home.
