Edna James Bartlett, 91, of Owensboro, Ky., formerly of Hartford, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015. She was born on Nov. 30, 1923, in Muhlenberg County, Ky., to the late Frank and Nora James.
Mrs. Bartlett was a member of Smallhous Baptist Church in Ohio County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Bartlett on June 16, 2007; one son, Norman Patton on Dec. 10, 2013; and two sisters, Gay Nell Froedge, in Oct. 21, 1982, and Jean Coleman on Dec. 14, 2000.
Survivors include one son, James (Lois) Patton, of Olaton, Ky.; one daughter, Brenda (Jerry) Priar, of Sesser, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Rev. Pete Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Ky. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home.
