Pauline McCarty, 95, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Signature Healthcare Hillcrest. She now joins her Heavenly Father and the rest of her family. She was born on June 8, 1920, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Arthur and Nannie Elizabeth Hamilton Rhoades.
Pauline loved God and expressed her faithfulness as a charter member of First Assembly of God. She also had a great love for her church and her family.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Ellis, and Marvin Rhoads; a sister, Earline Rhoads; husband, Charlie H. McCarty; sons, James O. Midkiff and Frederick McCarty.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles M. McCarty and Louise; a grandson, Charles (Binky) McCarty and 
his wife, Kristie; a granddaughter, Lana Starr; and a daughter-in-law, Patty McCarty.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
