Anthylene Childress, 68 of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Ky. Anthylene was born April 10, 1947, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Charles and Julia Ann Kirby Carathers and wife of the late Glendon Childress.
She was a custodian at Morgantown Elementary for several years and a homemaker.
Anthylene Childress is survived by two sons, John Childress, wife Cindy, of Morgantown, Ky., and Emmett Childress, of Morgantown, Ky.; two sisters, Betty Jenkins, of Beaver Dam, Ky., and Reita Brooks, of Morgantown, Ky.; one brother, Thomas Carathers, of Morgantown, Ky.; two granddaughters, Calesta Childress, of Morgantown, Ky., and Whitney Childress, of Hartford, Ky. ; one grandson, Dereck Childress, of Morgantown, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. with Bro. David Beliles officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday September 9, from 3:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
