Ann Chilton Holladay Nance, 58, died at her Centertown home Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, with her family by her side.
She was born March 8, 1957, to William Arthur and Lucille Chilton Holladay in Lexington, Ky. She married her sweetheart, Rick Nance, on Dec. 3, 1976.
In 1987, she graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in education. She loved science as well as reading, but her passion was writing. She was a motivational speaker and shared her inspiring faith in Christ through her work in church. She was a magical mother, Nanny, and aunt. She adored horses and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Charles and Betty Nance; brother-in-law, Charles Preston “Chig” Nance; and two nephews, William Philip Timbrook and Jo Chilton Button.
Ann is survived by her husband, Rick; their children Jessika Chilton(Jason) Chinn and Zachariah Holladay (Amie) Nance; grandchildren, Lennon Grace and Preston Scott Chinn, Maggie Chilton Nance, and Cole, Logan and Brady Simpson; her sisters, Micheline (David) Queen, Marcy Holladay and Sue Ellen Holladay, as well as many other beloved family.
A memorial service will be held at Cedar Grove Church Monday, Aug. 24. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 noon. Cedar Grove Church, 8086 Cedar Grove Rd-Olaton, KY 42361.
