Mildred Jane Burks, 94, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. She was born April 12, 1921, in Farmington, Minn., to the late Alvin and Margaret Peters Wright. She was a member of Narrows Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Burks; two daughters, Karen Basiak and Rose Marie Basiak; and one son, Robert Eugene Ames; and one granddaughter, Bobbie Michelle Basiak Clinely.
Survivors include four sons, Billy (Virginia) Burks, of Hartford, Ricky (Joyce) Burks, of Livermore, Kenny (Rhonda) Burks, of Benton, and Jimmy Ames, of Beaver Dam; three daughter, Cheryl Daugherty, of Beaver Dam, Brenda (JR) Ambrose, of Reynolds Station, and Patricia (Charles) Robinson, of Beaver Dam. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, at William L. Danks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
