Hanson Lloyd Dunn, 94, went to be with his Lord on July 18, 2015.
Hanson Lloyd Dunn retired from General Electric, where he worked for more than 30 years. Her proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. As a devoted bi-vocational Baptist Preacher, he was a pastor, interim pastor, led revivals or preached at more than 60 churches for various periods of time during 35 years of active ministry in Daviess, McLean, Ohio and Union Counties in Kentucky. He was a living example of the faith, hope, love and purity of living that he preached. Trying always to promote the will and direction of his Lord, he met whatever challenge came his way, responding in all situations through the love of Jesus Christ. Lloyd Dunn’s focus in every sermon, and in every action taken in the churches he served, came from his regular study and application of the Bible as God’s Inspired Word. He loved many of the scriptures which described God’s love and His provision for salvation. But one of his favorite verses to guide a life was Proverbs 3:5-6; Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
