Tildon “T” Cardwell, 87, of Roundhill, Ky., passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at his residence. Tildon was born on Sunday, Sept. 25, 1927, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Albert and Flora House Cardwell.
He was a retired farmer and preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tildon Cardwell, Jr.; twin daughters, Sarah and Salley Cardwell; two brothers, Weldon Eldon Cardwell, three half-sisters and two half-brothers.
Tildon “T” Cardwell is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maxine Childress Cardwell, of Roundhill, Ky.; three daughters, Melissa Mills, husband Gary, of Roundhill, Ky., Jean Ray, of Roundhill, Ky., and Betty Westerfield, husband Gerald, of Cromwell, Ky.; three sons, James Cardwell, wife Judi, of Roundhill, Ky., Johnny Cardwell, of Roundhill, Ky., and Ron Cardwell, of Roundhill, Ky.; one sister, Sylvia Bryant, of Roundhill, Ky., nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, June 19, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Alton Crowe officiating. Burial will be in the Threlkel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, June 18, from 4 p.m. through 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 p.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
