Mary Rose Rusher, 77, of Fordsville, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away June 17, 2015. She was born in Whitesville to the late Matt and Bertha Brant.
She was retired from Fordsville Nursing & Rehab and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan; brothers, William H. and Virgil Brant; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Rusher.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Paul Rusher; seven children, Mary Cathy (Danny) Handley, Debbie (Kim) McManaway, Matt (Bonnie) Rusher, Karen (Randy) Pinkston, Chris (Tracey) Rusher, Steve Rusher and Julie (Jeff) Cartwright; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Brant and Vivian Chappel; a brother-in-law, Millard Rusher, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fordsville with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery, Whitesville. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Prayers will be said at 4 p.m. Friday.
