Neal Fisackerly, 89, of Hartford, Ky., passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Professional Care Health & Rehab Center. He was born July 14, 1925, to the late Chester Herbert Fisackerly and Jewel Hope Woosley Fisackerly in Pine Bluff, Ark.
Mr. Fisackerly retired from Rapides Parish Sheriff Office, Alexandria, La., as Chief Deputy Tax Collector, was a deacon and member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. He also served in the United States Navy during World War II and Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Sloan Fisackerly and one sister, Ann Reid.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Diane Tichenor, of Hartford; two grandchildren, Robert Lee Barron, Jr., (Jessica) of Cromwell, and Rebecca Diane Patterson (Henry “Jay”), of Hartford; six great-grandchildren, Alexander Cole Barron, Broderick Lee Barron, Tehya Patterson, Paige Patterson, Chance Patterson and Breeze Patterson; and one sister, Louise Walker of Ingram, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Kentucky with Rev. John Cashion officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Full Military Honors by Wesley C. Phelps Honor Guard. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
