Wanda “Faye” Cruze, 82, of Falls of Rough, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born on Nov. 30, 1932 in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Foster and Delores (French) Smith.
Faye was a member of the Lone Star Church of Christ and she loved her little dog Smokey.
Faye iss preceded in death by her father, Foster Smith; her mother, Delores Harrell; her husband, Guy Cruze; one son-in-law, Tommy Cockrel; one brother, Charles Smith; and one sister, Joyce Buckner.
Faye is survived by her three daughters, Robbie Brown (Carl), of Caneyville, Lynn Cockrel, of Leitchfield and Gail Decker (Bobby), of Fordsville; two sisters, Brenda Stelow, of Indiana, and Marlyn Mills, of Florida; five grandchildren, Cindy Hudson (Joe Brad), of Leitchfield, Jamie Willoughby, of Falls of Rough, Angie Shull (Wesley), of Short Creek, Darren Cockrel (Jennifer) of Lake Bluff, Ill., and Shawn Ballsinger, of Kentucky; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 18, at 1 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 2 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
