NatomaRaymondNatoma Rose Raymond, 92, of Beaver Dam, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 11, 1922, in McHenry to the late Noah Phelps, Sr., and Lillian Beck Phelps.

She graduated from Central Park High School in 1940. Natoma was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for Mother’s Morning out for more than 20 years. She retired in 1985 from Thomas Industries after 16 years of service and went on to work at The Carousel Daycare.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman “Cisco” Raymond; two sons, Gary Mitchell “Lefty” Raymond, and Christopher Bennett Raymond; one grandson, Jeremy Raymond; and one granddaughter, Autumn Raymond; her brother, Conrad Phelps; and her sister, Lucille Kelly.

Survivors include her children, Teresa (Eddie) Williams, of Beaver Dam, Alicia (Harold) Lawrence, of Beaver Dam, Phillip Raymond, of Beaver Dam, Renita (Jim) Hopkins, of Russellville, Sheree Raymond, of Beaver Dam, Dwight (Martha) Raymond, of Beaver Dam, Shannon Willis, of Kuttawa, Tonya (Bob) Wilson, of Hartford, and Angie (Donnie) Pearson, of Beaver Dam; one brother, Noah (Janie) Phelps, Jr., of Beaver Dam, and one sister, Doris Jean (Gordon) Haynes, of Louisville. Natoma was blessed with 27 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Armstrong, Bro. John Cashion and Bro. Doug King officiating. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 p.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday at William L. Danks Funeral Home and 12 p.m. until the time of service at Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to Hospice of Ohio County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
