Ona Rae Forrest, 83, of Hartford passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Centertown, Ky., to the late Rupert Ashby and Flossie Williams Ashby.
Mrs. Forrest was a homemaker and a member of Woodward Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Forrest on Aug. 9, 2002.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie (Eunice) Forrest, of Lewisburg, Ky., Jeffery (Debbie) Forrest, of Hartford, and Greg (Jo Ann) Forrest, of Scio, Ohio; two daughters, Dinah R. (Robert) Howard, of Hartford, and Cheryl Kaye (Charles) Patton, of Beaver Dam; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mona Gahn, of Hartford, and Nancy (Herman) Gahn, of Utica.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Bro. David Isbell officiating. Burial will follow in Walton’s Creek Cemetery in Centertown,
Kentucky. Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
