Ralph Jackson Daugherty, 79, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, May 4, 2015, at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, Ky. Ralph was born April 15, 1936, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Omer and Ida Mae Flener Daugherty.
He was a trustee and member at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 20 years of service United States Air Force, teacher at the Bowling Green Vocational School and farmer.
Ralph is preceded in death by one son, Steven Thomas Daugherty; and two brothers, Clifford and Glen Daugherty.
Ralph Jackson Daugherty is survived by his wife, Shirley Daugherty, of Morgantown, Ky.; seven children, Deborah Hoffman, husband Mark, of Westfield, Mass, Jack Daugherty, wife Danielle, of Westfield, Ind., Ryan Daugherty, wife Darla, of Morgantown, Ky., Rick Collins, of Tacoma, Wash., Rachel Gilpin, husband John, of Bowling Green, Ky., Tim Allen, wife Nanette, of Bowling Green, Ky., and Randy Allen, wife Mary, of Hartford, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, May 6, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Gerald Geary officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery where military rights will be presented by AM Vets Post #117. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
