John R. Gilstrap, 64, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, at the Ohio County Hospital. John was born April 16, 1951, in Beaver Dam and was the son of the late J.R. and Betty Fleener Gilstrap.
John was a Christian, farmer and owner/operator of Gil’s Welding in Beaver Dam along with his wife, Janice.
Survivors include his wife Janice Gilstrap; son, Matthew Gilstrap; daughters, Christa Bevil and Lisa Charles, 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and brother, Joey Gilstrap.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 26, at 2:30 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Recie Young officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
