Emogene Luellen Hill, 86, of Hartford, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was born May 2, 1928, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Guy Luellen and Stella Sapp Luellen.
Mrs. Hill was a homemaker, Kentucky Colonel and worked with Ohio County Literacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Johnnie Nevil Hill, on Jan. 6, 1986; son, John Hill, Jr.; daughter, Charlotte Hill; and brother, Annis Luellen.
Survivors include eight children, Jerry (Diane) Hill, of Morris, Ill., Tommy Hill, of Hartford, Martha (Vernal) Kessenger, of Normal, Ill., Freda Stewart, of Hartford, Donald (Sandy) Hill, of Streeter, Ill., Gracie Hill, of Atlanta, Ga., Kenny Hill, of Hartford, and Roger (Theresa) Hill, of Bowling Green, Ky.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Bro. Kenneth Hill and Bro. Charles Shephard officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
