RoswelRCHowardRoswel “R.C.” Howard, 70, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Owensboro Center Nursing & Rehab. He was born Aug. 13, 1944, in Chicago Heights, Ill., to the late Willard and Jewell Howard Peach.

Mr. Howard was a retired UMWA worker for 20 years, former owner of Howard Storage, now Case Storage.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Garfield and Willis Howard; and one sister, Edith Howard.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Ada Howard, of Owensboro; one daughter, Tammy Lyons; three sons, Brent (Vicki) Howard, Joe (Lisa) Edge and Jimmy Edge (Shelly); six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Eugene Howard (Sharon), Michael (Carol) Howard, Lafe (Teresa) Howard and Stanley Howard; one sister, Virginia (Bill) Case and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Bro. Brent Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Butler County, Ky. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
