Donald Lee McEuen, 70, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born May 9, 1944, in Crittenden County, Ky., to the late Luther and Mildred McEuen.
Donald worked as a police officer for the Beaver Dam Police Department, then went on to work as a maintenance supervisor for the Beaver Dam Housing Authority. He retired in 2013 from the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department where he was a police detective. Donald was the past master of the Beaver Dam Masonic Lodge 420 F&AM, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and was a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra McEuen, of Beaver Dam; his daughter, Ashley Watson, of Beaver Dam; his son, Chris Watson, of Owensboro; one step-daughter, Kim (Donald) Hill, of Sandborn, Ind.; one sister, Lenore Drennan, of Paducah; two grandchildren, Canaan Watson-Upton and Addaleigh Watson-Upton; one stepgrandchild, Ashley Roberts, and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Wesley Phelps Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.
