Reathel R. Bartlett, 94, of Hartford, died Sunday March 1, 2015, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born in Ohio County to the late Linnie and Oma Lake Bartlett.
Mr. Bartlett served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served in the Infantry in England, France and Germany receiving two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. He was a member of American Legion Post 0055 in Hartford, VFW Post 696 in Owensboro and he was a member of Masonic Lodge #675 F & AM in Hartford. He worked for the Kentucky Department of Highways, was a farmer and drove a school bus.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Bartlett; his second wife, Frances Bartlett; and a brother, Bernice Bartlett.
Survivors include three nephews, Sidney Bartlett, Jerry Bartlett and Noel Bartlett; also many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Gary Hardin officiating. Burial will be in Lake Cemetery at Mt. Moriah Church with military honors being presented by Ohio County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
