Maudella Duff, 85, of Beaver Dam, passed away Feb. 25, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. She was born April 23, 1929 in Breathitt County, Ky., to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Strong Dalton.
Maudella was a homemaker and she was of Baptist faith.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by she was preceded in death by her husband, Cooley Duff, who passed away, Oct. 15, 2009; two sisters, Nora Phelps and Sylvania Dalton; and one brother, Alva Dalton.
Survivors include four sons, Charles (Sheila) Duff and Bobby Duff, both of Beaver Dam, Jimmy (Mary Ann) Duff, of Wills Point, Texas, and Jeff (Sally) Duff, of Hazard; seven daughters, Connie (Tracy) Goins and Donna Musgrave, both of Owensboro, Naomi (Jerry) Black, of Beaver Dam, Kathy (Cecil) Hurt, of Hazard, Christine (Virgil) Stephens, of Petersburg, Ind., Patty (Donnie) Johnson, of Dundee, Norma (Doug) Wathen, of FT. Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Bob Dalton, of St. Louis, Mo., and George Dalton of Hazard; and one sister, Naomi Fraley of Hazard. Maudella was blessed with 29 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
