Orena Boyd, 73, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Oak Manor Health Care Center in McKenzie, Tenn. She was born Nov. 16, 1941, in Ohio County to the late Herbert and Edna Whittinghill Embry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Edna Embry; her brother, Wendell Embry; and her sister, Betty Embry Rock.
Survivors include her husband, Winford “Gene” Boyd, of Calhoun; her daughter, Paris Boyd, of Owensboro; her son, Ricky Boyd, of Owensboro; two brothers, Phillip Embry, of Hartford, and Keneth (Jackie) Embry, of Fulton, N.Y.; one sister, Regena (Jerry) Nimmo, of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Nikki and Maggie; one great-grandchild, Elijah; one guardian/niece, Bo (Doug) Berryman, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. William L. Danks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
