Vernon L. Milam, 70, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at his residence. Vernon was born May 20, 1944, in Butler County, Ky., to the late George Clarence and Golda Mae Cannon Milam and husband of the late Kathleen Cardwell Milam.
He attended Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and a retired drywall finisher. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Milam; one son, Vernon Milam Jr.; and one brother, Clarence Milam.
Vernon L. Milam is survived by one daughter, Kay Daugherty, husband Karlon, of Beaver Dam, Ky.; three sons, Michael Milam, wife Penny, of Morgantown, Ky., Eric Milam, wife Samantha, of Morgantown, Ky., and Josh Milam, wife Anna, of Morgantown, Ky.; one sister, Richie Burnett, of Morgantown, Ky., 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will be in House Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
