Darrel Ray Ezell, 79, of Utica, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at his daughter’s residence in Belding, Mich. He was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Echols, Ky., to the late Oscar and Grace Saling Ezell.
He was a retired truck driver.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Ezell and Oscar Thomas Ezell and two sisters, Edith Mae Nohe and Gladys Jean Luttrell.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy (Rodney) Anderson of Belding, Mich.; one son, Kenneth Ray Ezell, of Greenville, Mich., and one brother, Eddie (Ruth) Ezell, of Utica. Darrel was blessed with two grandchildren, Felicia Stevens and Tyler Anderson, and one great-grandchild, Ella Katherine Stevens.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery in Echols. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home with Military Honors provided by Wesley Phelps Honor Guard.
