Bertha Lee Shutt, 92, of Beech Creek, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at 8:35 p.m. at Diversicare of Greenville. Mrs. Shutt was born April 18, 1922, in Muhlenberg County.
She was a homemaker and member of Church of Christ in Beechmont.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Henry Lee Shutt; parents, William Monroe Hill and Elva M. Stevens Hill; sisters, Virginia Martin, Mildred Kirtley, and Betty Gann; and grandchild, Sherri Lee Jones.
Survivors include her sons, Terry Lee (Ruthie) Shutt, of Belton, and Bobby Wayne (Regina) Shutt, of Calhoun; daughter, Patricia Ann (Jerry) Jones, of Greenville; grandchildren, Eric Lane Jones, of Tennessee, Terry Lee (Dana) Shutt, Jr., of Beechmont, and Lance Evan (Kodi) Shutt, of Hartford; great-grandchildren, Brescia Nicole Shutt, Jessica Danielle Shutt, Easton Reid Shutt, and Aniston Elise Shutt; brother, Bobby Gene (Jean) Hill, of Evansville, Ind.; and sister, Gladys Bassett of Beech Creek.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Mr. Darrell Puryear officiating. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
