WilfredRummageWilfred Gene Rummage, Sr., 69, of Whitesville, Ky., passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at his home. He was born to the late James Wesley Rummage and Lena Mae Howard Rummage on May 18, 1945.

He was an Army and Air Force Veteran who served for three tours in Vietnam. He was a master machinist for Kentucky Utilities from which he retired. He loved his family, dogs, and gardening.

He is survived by his children, Gloria (Eddie) Lewis, Nathan (Jessica) Rummage, Nicholas Jason Rummage, and Gene Jr. (Angela) Rummage; grandchildren, Brooke Lewis, Trinity Lewis, Alyssa Reeves, Hannah Rummage, and Aubrey Rummage; one great-grandchild, Lydia Reeves; siblings Wanda Scarbrough, Darleen Shope, Gerald Rummage, Rondal Rummage, and Imelda Haynes; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Aubrey said, “My Grandpa was a good, good babysitter, the best there was.”

There will be a private celebration of life on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015. Burial will be private. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), 1809 Grimes Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42303. Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY is in charge of arrangements.
